New Minister of Agriculture Takes Office

The new Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kemal Hrnjić took office today and formally completed the handover from the former minister Šemsudin Dedić.

The former minister Dedić and the newly appointed minister Hrnjić discussed the ongoing activities and plans for the coming period in a joint meeting with assistant ministers and department heads.  

The newly appointed minister Hrnjić said that he was honored to lead this ministry, though aware of great responsibility, and that he would work to the best of his abilities to contribute to its further growth. He added that he would also advocate for legislation of crucial importance for the citizens of the Federation of BiH.

“I’ve come here to work and join forces for the improvement of the sectors of agriculture, water management, forestry, hunting, veterinary and food industry,” said Minister Hrnjić.

Former Minister Dedić thanked his colleagues for successful cooperation and wished the new minister Hrnjić much success in his future work.

                                                                                                   

The two ministers toured the organizational units of the Ministry where staff thanked the former minister and welcomed the new one.

Minister Hrnjić is a bachelor of economics, specializing in small- and medium-sized enterprise management. He was the general manager of the Dairy “Meggle Mljekara d.o.o. Bihać”. He received a number of awards for his contribution to the development of the social community, and in 2014 he was awarded the European Economic Manager in BiH, while in 2020 he received the Charter of the City of Bihać.
