With UNDP on improving cooperation in agriculture
Federal Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry Kemal Hrnjić spoke today with UNDP’s head of the MEG project Goran Štefatić, head of the sustainable growth sector Ismar Ćeremida and the head of the Public Administration Digitization Project Dejan Buha.
They discussed the projects implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the improvement of existing cooperation through projects of importance for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Particular focus was on the cooperation between the representatives of the Ministry and UNDP in the field of improving the agricultural sector through computerization and digitization.
“Countries in the region have already implemented systems that significantly facilitate business processes in the field of agriculture, financial support processing and payment, control of production in the field. This Ministry will invest efforts in developing similar systems to improve the agriculture sector in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This dialogue with UNDP that already have experience in this regard is the logical step that will aid us in this endeavour”, said Minister Hrnjić.
They also discussed the project activities this Ministry takes part in, such as the development of a platform for agricultural advisory services and the establishment of the Working Group for the preparation of a draft on water services law.
