Minister Hrnjić with raspberry buyers and producers – Maintain the achieved level of production

Minister Hrnjić spoke today with Fikret Javorovac and Tarik Dobrača about the situation and challenges in the raspberry sector.

They also touched upon the announced purchase price of raspberries, deemed low by farmers in the previous period. The participants pointed out that raspberry as a commodity is liable to the market volatility of supply and demand and pointed out the problem of unsold quantities from last year’s harvest.

They committed to finding solutions to help agricultural producers in order to maintain the level of raspberry production reached last year in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Minister Hrnjić emphasized the importance of supporting producers in order to maintain the achieved level of production and indicated the need to include the cantons in solving the existing problems of raspberry producers and buyers, as well as the need to redefine the support policy for the raspberry sector in the coming period.
