Minister Hrnjić with the directors of agricultural institutes on increasing funding
The Federal Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry Kemal Hrnjić spoke today in Sarajevo with the directors of the federal agriculture institutes.
Omer Kurtović, director of the Federal Institute of Agriculture Sarajevo, and Marko Ivanković, director of the Federal Agro-Mediterranean Institute Mostar, briefed Minister Hrnjić on the activities carried out by these institutes as well as the challenges in their work, in particular the lack of funding in this year’s budget for their activities.
They discussed the proposals for an adequate solution to the existing problems in the institutes, as well as the improvement of their work, especially for the operation and maintenance of the equipment, which is worth millions.
Minister Hrnjić pointed out the importance of agricultural institutes for the entire agricultural sector, stating that several million KM have been invested in their operation and development so far.
“Agricultural institutes are very important for well-functioning system of the agricultural sector, with several million KM invested so far in their operation and development. It is necessary now to ensure funds so that they can carry on activities entrusted to them without interruption”, said Minister Hrnjić at the end of today’s meeting.
The directors of the institute expressed their gratitude to Minister Hrnjić for his willingness to find adequate solutions to secure funds and thus protect and improve the operation of these institutions.
