Minister Hrnjić with Meggle Representatives: The Dairy Sector One of the Best Organized Sectors in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina
The Federal Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry Kemal Hrnjić met today with the executive director of Meggle for Southeast Europe Marjan Vučak and the executive director of Meggle in Bosnia and Herzegovina Jadranka Penava.
Vučak and Penava pointed out positive developments in the dairy sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry’s stance with regard to the investments made by dairy companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stressing that it is one of the best organized sectors in the Federation of BiH.
The Meggle executives also stressed the need for more support to ensure higher degree of finalization of products in Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to improve the export of finished products and thus reduce the deficit that our country has in this sector.
Minister Hrnjić commended the sustained results that this company has had on the market in our country, and pointed out that he himself, as one of the directors, had the opportunity to be part of the development of this dairy company and get to know the inner workings of the complex dairy system.
They pledged to continue cooperation and further development of business opportunities in the area of Bihać and the Una-Sana Canton as the leading milk producing region in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Minister Hrnjić promised full support in the implementation of the presented plans.
