Minister Hrnjić meets with FAO representatives on improving cooperation

As part of his continuous efforts to improve the agricultural sector, the Federal Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, Kemal Hrnjić met today with Nabil Gangi, the Regional Director of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) for Europe and Central Asia, and his associates.

With the aim of strengthening joint efforts in the implementation of sustainable agricultural practices, they pointed out the importance of cooperation with the FAO so far, with a special focus on current measures that contribute to food security, as well as future projects that will be implemented in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Minister Hrnjić thanked the representatives of the Food and Agriculture Organization for their willingness to make their capacities available for the implementation of the agreed projects,  pointing out that cooperation is further improved in this way.

“Our FAO partners have successfully implemented a significant number of projects so far and the aim of our meeting today is to improve cooperation as well as agricultural production and ensuring sustainable development of the agricultural sector. “FAO is a partner in our efforts to modernize the agricultural sector, improve access to markets, and face the challenges of climate change and food security,” said Minister Hrnjić after the meeting.

The meeting was also attended by Nijaz Brković, Assistant Minister for Rural Development and Agricultural Advisory Services.
