Ministry on Food Safety with Lidl BH
The representatives of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry met with the representatives of the company Lidl BH to exchange views on the current legislation in the field of agriculture and food safety in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The meeting was organized given the forthcoming launch of Lidl BH’s operations on the market in BiH. Lidl were introduced to the fields of responsibilities of the federal ministry, as well as the key legal obligations relating to their future business.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Minister for Veterinary Affairs Kenan Muratović, minister’s advisors, and department heads on behalf of the Ministry, and by Semir Bjelak, Mejrema Zornić Mujanović, and Azra Vražalica, Masters of Food Technology on behalf of Lidl BH.
Particular focus was on product labeling in accordance with current legal provisions, conditions for the storage, transport, and disposal of Category 3 animal by-products, as well as obligations related to the application of the HACCP system.
The importance of timely alignment of business processes with current regulations was pointed out in order to ensure a high level of consumer protection, food safety, and lawful business operations within the territory of the Federation of BiH.
