Minister Hrnjić meets with representatives of agricultural associations: Improving the state of the agricultural sector in FBiH through partnership

The newly appointed Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry Kemal Hrnjić met with the representatives of agricultural associations from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the headquarters of the Ministry.

The representatives of the major associations were given an opportunity to present their activities and future plans to the newly elected Minister Hrnjić.

Minister Hrnjić and assistant ministers presented the key activities of the Ministry for this year and expressed readiness for a partnership with the representatives of agricultural associations, especially in creating measures that would help maintain and improve the achieved level of agricultural production.

“Today’s meeting is an opportunity to listen to representatives of our agricultural associations who gather farmers and communicate with them directly. We will consider your proposals and suggestions, and work towards our partnership and cooperation, all with the aim of improving agricultural production in the Federation of BiH”, said Minister Hrnjić after the meeting.

The representatives of the associations congratulated Minister Hrnjić on his appointment and wished him successful work in improving the field of agriculture with joint efforts and cooperation.

“Just as every team and business process can be improved, so can this ministry I lead.  We can certainly work on meeting the deadlines for the adoption of legislation to support our agricultural producers so that they can receive their planned financial support in time for spring sowing. At the same time, we call on the line cantonal ministries to submit the processed requests to the Federal Ministry so that agricultural producers can receive their payments as soon as possible”, said Minister Hrnjić.

This year’s budget of 164 million KM for agriculture is the largest so far and continuous support to agricultural producers will be resumed in the coming period.
