Minister Hrnjić at the opening of the 53rd International Fair of Agriculture and Food Industry “Plum Fair” in Gradačac

Federal Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry Kemal Hrnjić and Federal Minister of Internal Affairs Ramo Isak attended today the opening of the 53rd International Fair of Agriculture and Food Industry “Plum Fair” in Gradačac.

The Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry has been a partner of the International Fair of Agriculture and Food Industry in Gradačac for the fourth year in a row. The Ministry will have its own exhibition spot this year as well in order to engage directly with farmers and business people, exchanging experience and knowledge, and further improving cooperation.

A particular focus this year will be on the international project “Plum Route” that has been a topic of discussion between the Ministry, the City of Gradačac and the Tourist Board for some time now.

– The plum is a major potential of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the goal is to leverage that potential and restore the plum to its rightful place. The fair will serve as a platform for the ceremony of signing an international memorandum of understanding, as a clear sign of readiness for cooperation with the neighboring countries of Serbia and Croatia. The “Plum Route” project includes a new step forward in the promotion, production and tourism potential of the plum, as well as in strengthening regional cooperation – said Minister Hrnjić in his statement for the Federal News Agency.

The Plum Fair in Gradačac has gained visibility as a major business event in the region and beyond, providing an outstanding platform for promoting domestic potential, connecting businesses and improving the overall economic image of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
