Minister Hrnjić with Zanni on innovative solutions in flood protection

Federal Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry Kemal Hrnjić spoke with Andreas Zanni, head of the Jumbo Block consortium that develops innovative solutions in the field of flood protection.

It was an opportunity to present the products in the field of flood protection and rainwater retention through the use of environmentally friendly construction materials, as well as their potential reuse and recycling.

Minister Hrnjić pointed out the need to open production facilities applying this or similar technology in Bosnia and Herzegovina to provide solutions and reduce the flood vulnerability of our country.

“There is an increasing need for high-quality solutions, especially due to climate change, and products that provide the best possible, environmentally friendly ways to defend against floods will find their place on the market. Given that floods increasingly affect our country, it is important to think about building production capacities in Bosnia and Herzegovina that would contribute to flood defence by applying this or similar technology,” said Minister Hrnjić after the meeting.
