Bosnia to export red meat and poultry to Saudi Arabia

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia accepted the answered questionnaire on the export of red meat, poultry and meat processed products from Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina actively participated in the development of the answers to the questionnaire and will participate in the follow-on activities after its acceptance.   

The answers to the questionnaire were coordinated with the colleagues from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Veterinary Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the line entity ministry of Republic of Srpska, said Kenan Muratović, assistant minister for veterinary.

The Ministry submitted the list of meat operators from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Veterinary Office of BiH, which will be forwarded to the competent authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The next step will be the visit of Saudi inspectors to proposed meat operators in order to ensure compliance with conditions for export of red meat, chicken meat and meat processed products from Bosnia to Saudi Arabia.
